SC Method
Castables (shaped and unshaped refractories) are installed to insulate and protect equipment that operate at high temperatures, such as incinerators, refineries, and industrial furnaces. Holding such castables in place are welded studs of various shapes, which also have the goal of raising combustion efficiency (heat dissipation performance) of the equipment itself.
The SC Method leverages an extremely high current to quickly weld these studs, and is a way of welding that can ensure the strength needed to withstand the shear load of the castables while taking into account the thermal impact on the welding base material.
